In the cold winter, because the ambient temperature is too low, it is difficult to start the construction machinery engine, which makes the working conditions of the construction machinery deteriorate and affects the normal operation of the construction machinery. In order to ensure the reliability, economy and safety of construction machinery, maintain its technical performance and improve work efficiency, it is necessary to implement correct and scientific winter maintenance and maintenance of the engine.

1.Engine fuel system maintenance and maintenance:


(1) Choose diesel with low freezing point and good fluidity. At low temperature, the viscosity of the fuel increases, the fluidity becomes poor, and the atomization is poor, which is easy to worsen the combustion process, and the starting, power and economy of the engine are reduced. The freezing point of diesel oil should be 3 ~ 5℃ lower than the lowest ambient temperature to ensure that it does not solidify at the lowest temperature. Generally in the south of the Yangtze River in winter can choose No. 0 light diesel; In winter north of the Great Wall and south of the Yangtze River, -20 light diesel is selected; Choose -35 light diesel oil in severe winter areas; When the ambient temperature is lower than -20℃, the viscosity of diesel oil is reduced. A certain amount of kerosene can also be added to diesel (its mixing ratio can be prepared according to Table 1), and pay attention to mixing evenly when using.


(2) The winter climate is dry, especially the large wind and sand, so it is necessary to strengthen the maintenance of air filters, fuel tanks and diesel thick and fine filters to prevent dust pollution and accelerate the wear of parts.


(3) For cold areas, diesel can also be preheated during engine operation. There are two main ways to preheat diesel: one is to use exhaust gas preheating, that is, the exhaust pipe of the engine is connected with a tube through the diesel tank, and the exhaust waste heat is used to heat diesel; The second is the use of circulating water preheating, that is, the engine circulating water is piped through the diesel tank, or the inner layer of a sandwich tank is loaded with circulating water and the outer layer is loaded with oil to heat the diesel. When diesel is used for preheating, the engine should be started with low freezing point diesel, and then replaced with high freezing point diesel after the preheated diesel flows out, and then replaced with low freezing point diesel when the engine is turned off for 10 to 20 minutes to ensure that the high freezing point diesel in the oil system is exhausted. Prevent diesel condensate from blocking the oil passage after shutdown.

2. Maintenance and maintenance of engine lubrication system:


(1) Release the lubricating oil of the engine, after cleaning, add the engine oil with small viscosity to improve the lubrication conditions; Secondly, it is necessary to strengthen the cleaning of the crude and fine oil filters and reduce the resistance of the lubricating oil. For construction machinery used under dusty conditions, the replacement cycle of lubricating oil should be appropriately shortened.


(2) When some diesel engines enter the winter (when the general temperature is below 5 ° C), the transfer switch on the filter seat should also be turned to the "winter" season use position.

3.Maintenance and maintenance of engine cooling system:


(1) Remove scale and smooth the pipeline. Remove the scale inside the engine jacket to prevent the scale from accumulating too much and blocking the pipeline. If the scale blocks the water drain switch, the water drain will not be clean.


(2) All parts of the dust detection and cooling system shall be ensured to be complete and intact. Engine radiator shutters, starting insulation curtains and engine and hood should be in good condition, and the engine hood and radiator hood should be equipped with insulation covers. The working condition of the thermostat should be good to prevent the engine water temperature from being too low or too high. When the engine is working normally, in order to keep the engine in a better technical state, the air temperature under the engine hood should be maintained between 30 and 40 ° C, and the cooling water temperature should be maintained between 80 and 90 ° C.



  • Winter rotary drilling machine maintenance


The rig should be parked on a solid ground, the drill pipe should be removed, placed on the sleeper, to prevent sediment from entering, the movable frame can not be placed upright, should be placed on the ground horizontally, to avoid drilling deformation under its own weight, after removing the drill pipe will be in place for the feeling of the topmast, the place that needs to be filled with butter, to prevent rust caused by not using water for a long time.
