With the acceleration of urbanization and the increasing demand for infrastructure construction, rotary drilling rig, as an important construction machinery, is widely used in pile foundation construction, tunnel excavation and infrastructure construction. However, in the construction process, the rotary drilling rig often produces noise, vibration and pollution, which has a certain impact on the surrounding environment. This paper will discuss from many aspects how to effectively reduce the noise, vibration and environmental pollution caused by rotary drilling rig in the construction process, and contribute to the realization of green construction and sustainable development.

1. Noise reduction measures

Noise is one of the most significant environmental problems in the construction of rotary drilling rig. In order to reduce noise pollution, several measures can be taken:

(1) Choose low noise equipment

With the development of technology, many modern rotary drilling RIGS have adopted a low noise design. For example, optimizing the noise control of engines and hydraulic systems, using silencing technology and noise isolating materials to reduce noise during equipment operation. In addition, it is also possible to choose the appropriate equipment specifications to avoid excessive or unnecessary mechanical power output.

(2) Reasonable arrangement of construction time

Many cities have clear regulations on the working hours of construction, especially in the morning and evening when the noise limits are more stringent. Construction units can, according to regulations, try to avoid high-noise operations during noise sensitive periods.

(3) Install sound insulation devices

In the key parts of the rotary drilling rig, such as the engine and hydraulic system and other parts that are prone to noise, the installation of sound enclosures or other noise suppression devices can effectively reduce noise transmission.

(4) Use low noise working methods

In the construction process, through reasonable control of drilling speed and process design, the noise level in the operation process is reduced. For example, in the drilling process, timely adjust the speed of the drilling tool, avoid too high working speed, reduce mechanical vibration and noise.

2. Measures to reduce vibration

Vibrations not only affect the surrounding building structure, but may also adversely affect the health of the operator. The vibration produced by rotary drilling rig during construction mainly comes from the movement of drilling, rotating and hydraulic system. To reduce the effects of vibration, the following measures can be taken:

(1) Use shock absorbing equipment

Many rotary drilling RIGS are equipped with shock absorbers, such as hydraulic shock absorbers, rubber pads, etc., which can effectively absorb and mitigate vibration. Equipment manufacturers can design more advanced shock absorption systems to isolate the transmission path between the vibration source and the mechanical component, reducing the transmission of vibration.

(2) Optimize the construction technology

By optimizing the construction technology, the vibration can be effectively reduced. For example, a reasonable choice of drilling methods, avoiding too severe shocks, gradually increasing the drilling depth, rather than suddenly increasing the load. At the same time, the selection of the appropriate drill bit and drilling tool can reduce the resistance and vibration during the construction process.

(3) Level the construction site

The influence of the flatness of the construction site on the vibration can not be ignored. Before construction, the necessary ground leveling work is carried out to ensure the stability of the rotary drilling rig and reduce the vibration caused by the uneven ground. In addition, it is possible to further improve the stability of the ground and reduce the propagation of seismic waves by laying a stable soil or gravel cushion around the construction site.

(4) Control drilling speed and load

Control the drilling speed and load of rotary drilling rig to avoid excessive shock caused by excessive impact force and resistance. Especially in hard strata or complex geological conditions, high intensity operation should be avoided as far as possible to reduce the impact of vibration on the surrounding environment and buildings.

3. Measures to reduce environmental pollution

The operation process of rotary drilling RIGS can also bring environmental pollution, especially in terms of hydraulic oil leakage, fuel emissions and exhaust emissions. In order to reduce environmental pollution, the following effective measures can be taken:

(1) Use environmentally friendly fuel and hydraulic oil

The fuel and hydraulic oil of rotary drilling rig is one of the main sources of pollution. With the increasingly strict environmental regulations, more and more rotary drilling RIGS use low-emission, low-pollution environmental fuels, such as biodiesel, natural gas and so on.

(2) Regular maintenance of equipment to prevent leakage

Regularly check the hydraulic system, fuel system and exhaust system of the rotary drilling rig to ensure that all components maintain good sealing performance to prevent oil, fuel leakage and exhaust emissions.

(3) Control the discharge of waste

During the operation of rotary drilling rig, waste may cause pollution to the surrounding environment. The construction unit shall take effective measures to ensure the proper disposal of waste, such as establishing a waste recycling system, setting up special waste storage facilities, etc., to prevent waste from being discharged into the construction site and the surrounding environment at will.

(4) Set up isolation belts and protective nets

In order to prevent the soil, oil and other pollutants generated during the construction process from spreading to the surrounding environment, protective nets, enclosures or isolation belts can be set up at the construction site.

4. Adopt new technology and equipment

With the promotion of environmental awareness, more and more new technologies and new equipment have been introduced into the design and construction of rotary drilling RIGS. For example, the use of automated and intelligent control systems can optimize operation parameters according to site soil conditions and construction requirements, thereby reducing unnecessary mechanical operation and energy waste. In addition, some new rotary drilling RIGS are also equipped with environmentally friendly power systems and low-emission engines, which improve the performance and stability of the equipment while reducing noise and exhaust emissions.
