20 Safety Precautions for Rotary Drilling Rigs

1. Before any maintenance, repair or maintenance of the drilling rig, a warning sign or similar signage indicating “Do not start the engine” must be hung on the machine's start switch, joystick and operating panel to warn the operator.

2. Ensure that all protective facilities for the drilling rig, such as hoods, covers, shields, etc., are completely and correctly installed on the machine and fixed in place.

3. The location of buried high voltage lines and cables should be known. If the machine is in contact with these hazards, the resulting electric shock can cause serious injury or death.

4. To know the width of your equipment, so that when operating, so that the equipment and nearby fences or boundary obstacles to maintain a proper distance between.

5. Do not wear thin, loose-fitting clothing or jewelry that could hang from the control handle or other rig parts. They may hang from the joystick or other parts of the machine.

7. Familiarize yourself with applicable worksite command hand signals and know who is giving them. Accept only command hand signals given by one person.

8．Bring a helmet, protective eyewear and other protective equipment as required by working conditions. Wear helmets, goggles and safety coveralls appropriate for your job.

9. Keep the machine free of debris. Remove all obstacles such as debris, grease, tools and other objects that are not part of the machine from the rig, especially from the rotary platform, ladder and treadplate.

10. The rotary drilling rig is specially equipped with anti-rotation locking pins to prevent the rotary platform from rotating during shipment and causing accidents. Make sure that the locking pin is correctly inserted into the slot and locked in place before shipment.

11. Any repairs required must be communicated to the person responsible for maintenance in a timely manner.

12. Do not allow unauthorized access to the cab of the rig by persons not responsible for the rig.

13. Dispose of all waste fluids in accordance with local regulations.

14. Use all cleaning fluids in a fire-resistant manner.

15. Unless otherwise specified, leave the equipment in the maintenance position before servicing.

16. Place the excavator on a flat, level surface when not in use. All controls must be placed in the “STOP” position. The hydraulic lever must be placed in the “OFF” position to ensure that the engine is turned off. Remove the key from the starter switch. Disconnect the main power switch.

17. Do not smoke while servicing the air conditioner. Smoking is also not permitted in areas where refrigerant gas may be present. Inhalation of smoke from refrigerant in contact with a flame can cause personal injury or even death. Inhalation of refrigerant gas through smoking can also cause personal injury or death.

18. Maintenance of the drilling rig must follow safety procedures.

19. The grease in the track tensioner cylinders is under high pressure. Grease spilling from the safety valve under high pressure can adhere to the skin and cause serious or even fatal injuries.

20. If the cab door is locked, the front windshield and side windows can be used as a second exit.
